Arthur Woods Scholarship in International Affairs
This scholarship was established in 1969 by Mrs. W. Randolph Burgess, to honor her late husband, a distinguished public servant and father of Mrs. Carolie Woods Noble ’47. It is awarded to a junior or senior with financial need and an interest in foreign affairs. Preference is given to descendants of those who served on the U.S.S. Thresher at the time of its sinking, even if the student is not interested in the field of international affairs.
